Pacific Blue Eye

The natural range of Pseudomugil signifier, the Pacific Blue Eye, spans across a large part of coastal Eastern Australia. Within this species are several distinct locales or populations with varying physical characteristics such as fin coloration, fin lengths, adult body masses, tolerance to salinity changes, etc. It has even been proposed that the brackish water-requiring locales be reclassified as their own species! the locale available here is unknown but it is a truly freshwater fish and can handle a wide range of pH levels as well as alkalinity. The colors exhibited are almost honey-yellow once the specimens have settled in and are treated to high-quality prepared foods, frozen fare or live foods.
