Melanotaenia Mairasi Rainbowfish

A medium-sized close relative to the "Most Amazing Rainbow," the Mairasi Rainbow attains a max size of 3 to 4 inches in captivity and is known to glow with red-orange fins and horizontal lines along the body. This species is one of few to attain an almost tri-coloration on the fins and the nuptial band glows lava-orange! Being a smaller species and one that appreciates cooler temps (low 70s F), the Mairasi Rainbow will do quite marvelously with plants as well as an assortment of peaceful tankmates that appreciate similar water parameters.
