L400 Decorated Zebra Pleco

A mid-sized Hypancistrus pleco from Brazil's Rio Xingu, the L400 Decorated Zebra Pleco attains a max size of roughly 4-5 inches in captivity. Being a Hypancistrus species, this pleco will appreciate high protein in their diet, as well as mid-to-high temperatures in their aquarium. While this pleco has the general body blueprint of your average Hypan catfish, including the long caudal fins and elongated body blueprint, its body pattening sometimes resembles that of the L134 Peckoltia compta, or Leopard Frog Pleco, which is a Peckoltia rather than a Hypan.
