Ivantsoff's Blue Eye

A stocky little blue eye with a big personality! Pseudomugil ivantsoffi originate from Timika in Southern Papua and surrounding water systems. Fin coloration in this species can vary greatly from yellow to red and anything in between! Eggs of this Blue-Eye are massive in comparison to other Pseudomugils, so they'll be easy to spot and pick off of spawning substrates like yarn mops.

Although Timika water parameters are softer and acidic, this hardy little Blue-eye has been acclimated successfully to neutral and even slightly alkaline conditions. Feeding is quite easy as well; dried and frozen foods are readily accepted, and live foods add only benefits to the regular feeding regimen.

For a Pseudomugil, this species is quite a hardy species, dare we say bulletproof!
