Honey Blue Eye (Pseudomugil Mellis)
Honey Blue Eye (Pseudomugil Mellis)
One of the rarest Pseudomugil extremely hard to across. We are fortunate enough to get a small group of these guys for the public. Males and females available if you have special request on gender please let us know.
Honey Blue-eyes are a small, eye-catching Paeudomugil from Australia. These nano fish rarely exceed 1.5 inches in captivity, with males obtaining a golden "honey-yellow" overall color with black and white trims on their fins. If fed high quality frozen and live foods, spawning and fry-rearing is not a huge challenge. Being from Australia, Pseudomugil mellis have wide temperature tolerance range and can be kept successfully (VERY SUCCESSFULLY) outdoors in pond conditions!
Pseudomugil mellis like softer water but can be acclimated to neutral or even alkaline water conditions. Although quality frozen and live foods provide the best nutrition and aid in egg production, these undemanding fish will also accept dried flakes and micro pellets.
