Black Venezuela Corydoras (Corydoras schultzei)

This lineage 7 (C. aeneas type) Corydoras has a black body with dark brown along its back as well as brown colored fins. This darker design pairs well with planted scapes as a school of these catfish will contrast nicely against vibrant green vegetation.

Corydoras schultzei are unfussy when it comes to food and will accept most sinking pellets high in bug protein or seafood. Frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp and live blackworms are great for conditioning breeder specimens to generate quality eggs when spawning is desired.
