Betta imbellis, the "Peaceful Betta"

The "Peaceful Betta" is a small species of bubble nesting Betta related to the Siamese Fighting Betta (B. splendens). Topping out at 2.5 inches in captivity, this peaceful small fish can easily fit in most nano tank setups with small micro rasboras from Asia. Multiple specimens can coexist peacefully in the same aquarium as long as they are provided with lots of cover and ample retreats.

Betta imbellis will readily accept small flakes, micro pellets and most small frozen foods and can live in pH ranges from 5.0 to 7.5, with their preference closer to the lower end.
