Assassin Snail

The Assassin Snail is a hardy, vibrant snail that tolerates a wide range of parameters in the home aquarium. The body is drab grey in color but the shells are black and yellow striped! This species will actively hunt other snails and is a great addition for population control of rapidly-proliferating snails such as bladder snails and ramshorn snails, but will readily accept all foods if no other snails are present. The Assassin Snail has a slow reproduction rate, giving live birth to one snail every few weeks, meaning an introduction into your tank will not lead to an infestation. These snails are very slow moving so will pose no threat to Neocaridina and Caridina shrimp nor their young.
