Albino Spotted Hoplo Catfish (Megalechis thoracata)

Tired of never seeing your Corydoras or rare plecos when you sit down to enjoy your aquarium? Look no further for an active, outgoing and bright colored catfish! The Albino Hoplo Catfish resembles a Corydoras with its armor-like ridges as well as the whiskers and body shape of a bullhead catfish but lacks the gigantic mouth that will swallow tankmates whole! This fish is relatively peaceful, quite hardy and will tolerate a wide range of water parameters.

Being a Catfish, the Albino Spotted Hoplo will readily accept flakes, sinking pellets and frozen foods without much complaint. In the home aquaria these fish can attain a max size of 6 - 8 inches.
